USWA goal is to grow the sport of waveski surfing in the USA through grass roots introduction, intermediary training lessons and advanced competition surfing.
USWA is a member of the World Waveski Surfing Association (WWSA) and through this relationship a member of the International Canoe Federation (ICF)
Waveski Surfing has been around for over 40 years and previously known as paddle-surfing. A Waveski resembles a larger volume surfboard, with the addition of a seat, fins, foot straps, and seat belt, enabling the rider to ‘eskimo roll’ if overturned.
Waveski Surfing is ideal for anyone wanting to experience the thrill of surfing a wave and is well suited to anyone living with a lower body disability.
